cheesy post

to celebrate dawson's lsat score a few weeks ago
i decided to take him down memory lane for a date night

so just over 5 years ago was when we first started "dating" 

although we just called it "hanging out"

because we were REALLLY cool and couldn't commit to anything

we were only about 18

so naturally most of our get togethers involved making out hanging out at someone's house

but every once in awhile we would go out and do some sort of date

it was pretty basic:

dinner at iggy's

sharing an ice cream sandwich at smart cookie

and going to a movie

oh yes

i still remember those darn butterflies during that date 5 years ago

...getting nervous as i waited for him to pick me up

...being paranoid about getting food on my face during dinner 

(i ordered a cheese pizza for the purpose of easy eating)

...making sure i didn't eat more than my share of the ice cream

....being hyper aware of every move he made in the movie theater

...wondering if/when he was going to hold my hand during the movie

...saying goodnight at the doorstep (always awkward)

...and finally waiting for his text after he dropped me off to say good night

that part of dating was seriously so much fun 

and i absolutely loved it

but i have to admit

i really do love how things are now even more

...running into each other while getting ready together in our tiny bathroom

...deciding on two things on the menu that we both want so we can share

...both of us trying to hog the ice cream because really it's too small to share

...me sprawling out in the movie theater with my legs over dawson's

...and best of all, not having to say good bye at the end of the night

so to finish things off.....

(as if this post wasn't cheesy enough)

i'll add something completely dorky 

but hilarious

this is what i wrote in my journal 4 years ago about dawson

daws, i'm sorry that i said you had mood swings

but i'm sure it was probably true at the time

love you!!!!
