awesome... our conference breakfast we did with our friends steve, kaylee, chase, and nakita
awkward... our breakfast that was supposed to be during Sunday morning session, turned into a "conference first session, football in between, second session, and movie night" 12 hour hang out session

awkward... me bawling my eyes out through every episode lately. and dawson not batting an eye when he sees that i'm only crying over grey's anatomy. again.

awkward... how much our group of friends snap chats. we are now kept updated on each others lives through pictures about 10 times a day minimum.

awesome... the snow's inviting us over for dinner for fall soup and bread bowls
awkward... how surprisingly sad i was that baby crew was asleep early so i didn't get to play with him (aren't i the girl who doesn't even like babies?)

awesome... it's finally time to apply to law school!!!
awkward... how law school applications are too much like homework and take too much of my husband's time (that i want all to myself)

awkward... my unhealthy obsession with T-Swift.  after i got the album i took dash for a 2 hr walk so i could listen to the whole cd on my iPod... twice.

awesome... our trips planned for 2013 that have us leaving the country more than once
awkward... how i'm already having anxiety attacks about the 12 HOUR flight that will take us on our first adventure!

awesome... my hilarious prank i always pull on dawson which involves turning on the hot water or flushing the toilet anytime he is in the shower

awkward... the only reason we did was for football season. but it is so worth it.

awkward... joining a group of old people, not one person a day under 90, who come to do sealings at the temple every tuesday (we were the only ones who stayed awake the whole time)

awkward... the beef stroganoff i made last night. while it was good, i didn't realize the recipe was for an army. if anyone likes beef stroganoff, come on over to our place and bring all your friends, and your extended family, and all the members of your ward, and anyone you see around downtown that looks hungry!

awesome... being able to go on almost all the family vacations this year in spite of having a full time job
awkward... being completely out of vacation time at work and it's only august

awesome... ashley turning 20 years old and us finally being together on her bday to celebrate
awkward... only being able to spend the day with her because i had to work a night shift

awkward... getting a spot right next to the heater and almost melting in class while ashley (the yoga master) is trying not to laugh at me


awesome...  celebrating my one-of-a-kind grandma nancy's 74th birthday this past weekend
awkward... a little mishap at the party that landed one of my family members in the emergency room (don't worry, he's ok!)

awesome...  the olympics! go teamUSA! we have love love loved watching the olympics every night. we are finally beating china in the medal count, yay!
awkward... trying to watch the olympics in my patients rooms while i'm at work. and the fact that everything is shown here like 8 hrs behind london time

awesome... the UTES starting fall camp! only 4 weeks until the season kicks off, i can't wait!
awkward... my dad having to go back to work and now only being able too see him a few hrs a week (if we're lucky)

Awesome... My amazing momma babysitting Dash for us while we were in Cali
Awkward... Asking her to send me daily videos and pictures with updates on what Dash is currently doing

Awesome... Deciding to eat healthy and get into shape for summer
Awkward... Gaining 4 lbs due to eating waffles at 3am on night shifts

Awesome... Being able to deep clean our cozy apartment in less than 2 hrs
Awkward... Being able to mess up our cozy apartment in less than 2 minutes (mainly when I'm trying to decide what to wear or trying to cook some sort of edible meal)

Awesome... The new flavor we tried at Nielsen's, Oreo coconut.. mmmmmm....

Awesome... A Saturday matinee with the Nicols to see the AVENGERS!
Awkward... How much I loved that movie... I'm already planning the next time I can see it in theaters (Thor = YES)

Awesome... Having free time to run errands with the hubby
Awkward... Being so exhausted by errands that we have to make an emergency stop at Little Caesar's and get a $5 pizza that we can't wait to eat so we scarf it down in the car

Awesome... Seeing Brittany twice in one week!
Awkward... Getting almost emotional each time I say good-bye to her because I always think the next time I see her she'll be in labor

Awesome & Awkward

While Dash is still obviously the center of our lives, I've decided to expand Awesome and Awkward to include more than just him.

Awesome... Being done with night shifts and having a whole week off!
Awkward... Having had cheesecake, chips and salsa, and a turkey sandwich for breakfast the past 3 days

Awesome... Almost bringing home a pitbull from Petco that was up for adoption and was the most precious thing ever and was telling me with her eyes that she needed me
Awkward... Crying a little on the way home after I called Dawson and he told me "Hell no"
Even more Awkward... Dash deciding he needs to defile Petco as well as Petsmart  and pooping right in the middle of the aisle again

Awesome... Dash loving me and wanting to be by me all the time
Awkward... Dash knowing what my phone and computer mean, and deciding that he hates them taking my attention away from him.  Hence he is constantly pawing at me and trying to sit on the keyboard as I type this.

Awesome... My beautiful sister-in-law Jen turning 30 this week! (But still looking 21 and better than ever)
Awkward... Me sleeping through her bday because I had worked a night shift and forgetting to call her - but I WILL make up for it!

Awkward... Being so sore today that I can't pick up Dash or sit down on the toilet without tears coming to my eyes

Awesome... Having a puppy play date with Monroe and Maizy
