minute to win it

dawson and i were in charge of entertainment for a night while we were in priest lake and i really wanted to play minute to win it.  

i was a little worried about how it would turn out, but it was a success (aka we were all laughing so hard we could barely breathe).  

we did boys vs. girls and when it ended in a tie we decided not to do a tie breaker so that there were no poor losers (ahem the boys) 

because it MIGHT have been getting a bit competitive...

how cute is presley?!  she was better at the games than almost all of us.

pres is the most amazing niece, just wait til you see the pictures of her wake surfing!

we also did the pencil flip and the tissue pull (an epic battle between ty and lauren), 

but we unfortunately didn't get pictures of those gems.

awesome and awkward SUMMER EDITION

awesome... being able to go on almost all the family vacations this year in spite of having a full time job
awkward... being completely out of vacation time at work and it's only august

awesome... our trip to maui with the whittinghams
awkward... the amount of pictures i took and therefore posts i have written about maui

awesome... our trip to priest lake with the kents
awkward... the 12 hr drive it took to get there while blowing out 2 tires

awesome... being at a lake house for a whole week
awkward... making dash wake surf and swim in the middle of the lake

awesome... all of the delicious food we ate while on vacation
awkward... coming back 8 lbs heavier than when we left. post-vacay work outs starting NOW

awesome... dawson being uh-mazing and doing all our post-vacation laundry
awkward... the fact that it's been almost 2 weeks since we got home and we are just barely finishing unpacking and cleaning

awesome... how happy dawson was to get a killer deal on a new motorcycle
awkward... how unhappy i was about the new motorcycle because i take care of broken people at work that ride motorcycles

awesome... ashley turning 20 years old and us finally being together on her bday to celebrate
awkward... only being able to spend the day with her because i had to work a night shift

awesome... getting a month pass to a bikram yoga studio with ash
awkward... getting a spot right next to the heater and almost melting in class while ashley (the yoga master) is trying not to laugh at me


awesome...  celebrating my one-of-a-kind grandma nancy's 74th birthday this past weekend
awkward... a little mishap at the party that landed one of my family members in the emergency room (don't worry, he's ok!)

awesome...  the olympics! go teamUSA! we have love love loved watching the olympics every night. we are finally beating china in the medal count, yay!
awkward... trying to watch the olympics in my patients rooms while i'm at work. and the fact that everything is shown here like 8 hrs behind london time

awesome... the UTES starting fall camp! only 4 weeks until the season kicks off, i can't wait!
awkward... my dad having to go back to work and now only being able too see him a few hrs a week (if we're lucky)
